Being Happy Is A Choice

People often put off being happy until some arbitrary date in the future. For instance, when they lose 40 pounds, or when they receive that long-awaited promotion at work, or when they retire. When in actuality, they can choose to be happy right now in whatever circumstance they are in.

Why not be happy, or at least learn to love yourself at whatever the weight because you will still be the same person when you lose weight, only 40 pounds less.

Why not be happy while waiting for that promotion by finding something pleasant to focus on about the work you do, and not worry solely about only getting the promotion. The old adage about stopping to smell the roses certainly applies here.

And finally, when you choose to be happy instead of gloomy or sad, things have a way of working themselves out for the better.
