Our health is a very important aspect of our lives that we often take for granted, perhaps it is because we do not know how much it would cost us until things go south. It is only wise to have a resolution and a plan in place, especially as a new period roll by. Not because the new period is the only time to make decisions, it is the state of the mind and the way we reacted to it that matters and that is why it works.
Here are a few tips that can help you take care of your health and wellness:
Commit to healthier diet
We are what we eat, not at any other time is that saying more true. Eating more greens will definitely do much better for your health; eating more fruit, vegetables, whole grains and low fat foods will not only ensure that you are healthier and better for it.
Move around more
Sitting around may look good, but it’s actually bad for your health. A lot of professionals are guilty of sitting for far too long, while it is true that they are busy; they can live much healthier while on their feet. At least, every adult should have at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activities per week, which is only fair enough given how many minutes are in a week.
Rethink your drink
It is normal to want to get a sugary drink once in a while but substituting it for freshwater is a lot of big deal. You should take drinking fresh water seriously.
Get enough sleep
The frenzied lifestyle we have cultivated means that we cannot get the amount of sleep that we need. The average adult needs at least 7 hours of sleep per night, how much are you getting anyways? You might need to work on that.
Smoking is an unhealthy habit than can lead to multiple health issues. You don’t want to start analyzing the effect of smoking on your health, it is best if you can take your time to quit the entire tobacco thing. Smoking; either passive or active has been linked to a lot of cardiovascular diseases and infections, you don’t want to be on the receiving end of that, do you?
Be sun safe
You might think summer is the only time when you have to be wary of the sun but even in cold weather, the sun can damage your skin. It is imperative that you stay protected by using a sunscreen with at least 15 SPF.
Take care of your teeth
A lot of people pay little or no attention to their oral health, this time out, take more care of your teeth. It goes beyond just brushing your teeth twice a day, you should also learn the art of seeing your dentist more often. You should visit your dentist at least three times a year, that’s not too much to ask for.
