June is Rebuild Your Life Month
It’s helpful to remember that we are in control of our lives more than we realize, which means we are where we are in life primarily because of the choices made along the way.
For example, if we do not like our job because it’s too stressful, we can either choose to leave it, or remain and find a better way to handle the stress.
If we are unhappy about our weight, we can choose to put off addressing the issue until some arbitrary date in the future, or we can tackle the issue now and make healthier choices regarding our physical, emotional, spiritual, social, etc., realms one day at a time.
If there never seems to be enough hours during the day to get things done, we can choose to do nothing until we become overwhelmed and experience feelings of stressed, and depression, or we can learn to manage our time more efficiently.
And in the words of Lao-tzu, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
