Have you noticed that losing those last five pounds are the hardest. Your body seems to want to keep some extra pounds around for reserves just in case there is a famine in the near future. It has no way of knowing that you may actually have plenty of food in the freezer or pantry.
So what’s a person supposed to do if he or she wants to get past that final plateau of pounds?
Well, for starters, find ways to cut down on your daily calories. For instance, if you normally drink two regular sodas a day, eliminating just one soda per day can save 140 to 180 calories or more, which can made a difference over a week’s time.
In lieu of high calorie sodas, don’t forget your water, and stay hydrated by drinking six to eight glasses of water, which can be increased especially during the warmer months, or when you are more active.

Remember to watch your carbohydrate intake, and cut down on them where you can.

Sneak in more exercise activity throughout the day.

Aim for sleeping seven to nine hours nightly, which can include naps.

So, even though summer is fast approaching, with a little diligence you too can lose those last few pounds and fit into those skinny jeans again.
